Tonights Launch will feature non-profit and government agencies presenting challenges to software developers and designers. The object is to build teams for work during our two-week Code for Change collaboration period and ultimately compete for prizes during our Code for Change expo on October 12. 

Look at the challenges

and take the afternoon off on Friday the 28th to start your solution idea!

We are offering $10,000 and additional prizes for developers to create apps and tech solutions to the challenges faced by nonprofit organizations and government agencies in New York and across the USA.   

 


Prizes*

Grand Prize: $10,000

Social Innovation Prize: $6,000 value:  Six months of free workspace access at the Centre for Social Innovation. The Centre for Social Innovation is a shared workspace and incubator for social entrepreneurs and social ventures, opening in New York City in January 2013. http://socialinnovation.org

General Assembly Prize: $225 value: Enjoy five GA classes for free! At General Assembly, we believe in hands-on, learning-by-doing education. Our classes are focused sessions designed to provide fundamentals, practical insights, and tactical approaches in technology, design, and entrepreneurship.http://generalassemb.ly/ 

Zurb Design Prize: $1225 value: Three month subscription to Zurb's Notable iteration software and web audit of winners application by the Zurb design team.
